Dear Lena Parents/Guardians and Friends, Welcome back to another amazing school year! Thank you so much for visiting the web site of Lena Whitmore Elementary School! I hope this site will provide you with important information about our school, our staff and parent group. I am so pleased to be the new Principal at Lena Whitmore Elementary School! For the past thirteen years, my husband and I have had the amazing opportunity to build our family and my career in education in the Priest Lake/Priest River, Idaho area. For the past six years, I was the Principal of Priest River Elementary, as well as the Testing Director and Co-Curriculum Director for Elementary Education. This summer our family has had an amazingly warm welcome to this community! Both of our sons, Marshall and Malachi, join me at Lena Whitmore and have had a great first week! My husband Tim and two year old daughter Madeline love the conveniences and energy of our beautiful city! This is a wonderful place to raise a family! Over the past three weeks, I have been astounded at the remarks and observations about our amazing school! The comments and personal observations about Lena’s feeling of community, relationships with children, small school environment, and caring about kids has been abundant! As a new parent, community member, and Principal, I am really impressed with our staff, PAT, administrative leadership, and district. I feel very fortunate to be here and have my family be a part of this school and district! My door is always open—I welcome your questions and ideas. I would love to meet you all!
