Employees

The Adventure Club staff are the backbone of the program.  There is one site supervisor at each of the three sites after school sites, as well as three to four group leaders.  The University of Idaho also provides two to three work study students per site.  Funding for the UI work study students is provided by America Reads.

The Adventure Club Management Team

David Garnett has been the Adventure Club Director since 2002.  Jill Malm, McDonald Adventure Club Site Supervisor, and Jena Malm, Russell Adventure Club Site Supervisor, have been with the program since its inception in 1992.  Marsha Williams, Lena Adventure Club Site Superivsor, has been an Adventure Club employee since 2004.

Adventure Club Staff Demographics

Many Adventure Club employees are working toward degrees in K-8 education at the University of Idaho or Washington State University.  All staff either have education degrees or have significant experience working with children in school, camp, or after school settings.  Several staff members are certified teachers.
