Scholarships

Due to challenging economic conditions faced by families on the Palouse, the Adventure is introducing a scholarship program that will be introduced in fall 2011.

The scholarship money is to be used for either the after school or summer programs.

The percentage of tuition to be covered by the scholarship will depend upon the number of applicants and the amount of money available in the scholarship fund.

Families must qualify for the free lunch program, not just reduced.  Families must provide copies of paperwork showing acceptance into the free lunch program.  The Adventure Club Director will confirm an applicant's free lunch status with the Moscow School District's Director of Nutrition Services.

Families must submit at least one paragraph describing why the scholarship assistance would be important to them and their life situation.  Homeless families and families with only one parent working will have priority consideration for scholarships.  Funds will be reserved for families who suddenly find themselves homeless or in need of emergency funds.

Applications must be submitted by November 1st for scholarship consideration.  Applicants will be notified of their status by December 1st.

These criteria may be adjusted in the future as the scholarship program evolves.
