A snapshot of me at Silverwood! Hello! This is my thirteenth year teaching at A.B. McDonald Elementary School. I taught two years of sixth grade and this will be my eleventh year teaching third grade. Every year has been exciting and memorable, bringing along with it a lot of laughter, learning and fun. McDonald Elementary is a great place to teach and I'm happy to call it my "home away from home!" I have been married to my husband, Bryan, for 12 years and we both graduated from Moscow High School. I am an alumna of the University of Idaho - Go Vandals! I graduated in 1997 with my undergraduate degree and in 2006 I graduated with my Masters in Special Education. We have two beautiful children, Hayden, age 8 and Kennedy, age 5. Mix this all with our yellow lab Chloe and cat, Spunky, we have a fun-filled family!

I am a big sports fan as I played volleyball, basketball and softball while in high school. I also enjoy attending the University of Idaho athletic events whenever possible. In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. This year's theme in our classroom is "Team Thompson." I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers. I believe that great things can happen when we work together!
