Your child will receive a homework packet each Monday. They are expected to work on the pages throughout the week. They ARE NOT to finish it in one night. Homework is due on the following Friday. I know how busy families are and this way the packet can be done when families have time to accomplish it. I hope this helps.
I try to base our homework on what we are doing in class. This way students can get the extra practice and parents can see what we are accomplishing! If we have a short week, usually there will be no packets sent home. Also, if there is a week shorter than four days, there will be no spelling. One note to remember: our homework is meant for review. This should not be strenuous for your child. Aside from the homework packet, students
are expected to read nightly for 20-30 minutes, study their spelling words and
