Fines
Students are responsible for books and materials they have borrowed. They need to pay the cost of the missing or damaged item plus $2.00 for processing. Students pay only bindery costs if a damaged book can be repaired rather than replaced. Library Rules v Print only what you really need at our black laser printer. v Have your classroom teacher sign your agenda when you want to print a project in color. Color printout is limited to final version of each project. The cost of color prints for personal use is $.20 each (2009). v Get your English teacher’s signature beside the title of each AR quiz before you take the quiz if you are in eighth or ninth grade. v Respect other people's files in shared classroom folders. Do not change, copy, read or access files that are not yours. v Suggest books and/or AR quizzes for our library to purchase. Place the titles you want in the blue suggestion jar located on the circulation counter. v Request books from Idaho libraries through interlibrary loan. v Check your e-mail before or after school, but not during school hours. However, you may send/receive your assignments via e-mail throughout the day. You need permission from a librarian or teacher who is in the library each time before you go to your e-mail account to send or retrieve an assignment. v Play games at home. Games are not permitted on the library or LCC computers. Electronic Access Using Online

Library Media CenterThe Library Media Center is an integral part of the educational program at MJHS. Students have access to a wide variety of resources with reading levels 2.5 through 12+. My job is to prepare our students to be learners for the 21st century and to become effective users of information and ideas. The library staff helps students and staff in an environment conducive to learning, provides appropriate and adequate information resources, and models the behavior of lifelong readers and learners.

Library Computer Center
(LCC) are busy places. Teachers can sign up and hold class in
the main hall or in the LCC. The LCC and the main hall are filled on a first
come, first served basis. No more than two class groups may share
both rooms, along
with drop-in students. The sign-up sheet for the main room
and the LCC is located on the
checkout counter. Teachers can reserve one room, or one-half of each room. A
five-day limit of the LCC is preferred for each classroom project because of
limited computer access in the building.
