Excessive absenteeism shall be considered when deciding to retain or promote a student for the ensuing school year. The building principal shall warn a student and his/her parents in writing of an impending loss of credit due to excessive absences when absences exceed 6 days. The building principal may refer students and their parents to Attendance Court, and include written notification that credit has been withheld, due to absences exceeding 10% of the days per semester.
