Parents and Guardians,
Thanks to every single one of you for sharing your student!!!
Today I had the privilege and honor to travel around this amazing place that we have and hand out small candy canes as a symbol of best wishes to all of the students. I handed out more than two thousand candy canes and that meant thousands of smiles, laughs, handshakes, and hugs. It was beautiful. There is no better job in the world than mine and our district truly has amazing students and families at all grade levels and buildings.
I am deeply impressed every time I travel around at the quality of staff that we have in all positions throughout the district. From janitors to lunch staff, paraprofessionals to teachers, and principals to bus drivers we have amazing people serving you children! They take pride in our jobs and the difference that we make for kids! We welcome every child and provide them with the resources they need to grow and succeed. Each and Every Child!!!!
I wish you all a wonderful break filled with light and love!!! This new year has multiple things cooking that I believe will mark a new and even more forward focused era in our system.
I hope to see you soon!!

Parents, Staff, and Community,
As of 7:30 tonight, power has been restored to all of our school buildings and we plan to resume normal operation tomorrow, December 18th 2025. See you then! Just two more days until a break!
Also, to Kylie, Wyatt, Boaz, and every other student giving me a hard time about never calling a snow day... Today totally counts as a snow day.
Mr. Tiegs
Parents, Students , and Community Members,
Due to a significant wind event, and the loss of power at multiple school sites. I have made the decision to close school and cancel all operations for Wednesday, December 17th 2025. Please stay warm and safe inside.

Now this is how you kick off the school year! Let's go, Cubs!!!

Moscow School District Parents and Staff:
Quick note: An initial email sent out had a document entitled “Setting up a Parent Account for PowerSchool” with an INCORRECT link in step one. If you received this document in the mail or via email, the correct link is: https://msd281.powerschool.com/public/
The document on our website has been updated with an accurate link.
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!! We are so grateful that we are your school of choice! There are so many reasons to be proud of this district and the work that we do! We have amazing and competent staff and are truly the best district in the entire state when you consider all of the opportunities that we offer students, the ability to welcome all students, and our continued high academic performance and success. I am attaching a short flyer to this email that accents some of the great work that we are doing! In addition, here are FOUR bullet points of recent initiatives that I wanted to share with all of you
1. We now have Air Conditioning in all Elementary and Middle School classrooms as well as the Original 1938 High School Building on all 3 floors!!!
2. We have a new website and new and improved communication tools. DO NOT forget to download our District App!!! You don’t want to miss out! iOS Devices: https://aptg.co/hrkJs9 Android Devices: https://aptg.co/GcpxR0
3. We are adopting a new district-wide student registration form process to make your life easier during this busy time. This registration platform will be 100% online and WILL make the registration process much easier and quicker. All of the registration forms will be prepopulated, saving you significant time and effort in the registration process and it can be completed now before things get even busier. In order to go through this process, you will need to have access to your students through PowerSchool. All parents will receive or have received a letter in the mail with the information needed to create this parent account. Please do not throw this letter away as it contains important information to use. This process will look different depending on if you have already created an account or not.
o Many of you in the Middle School and High School may already have created parent accounts, if this is the case you will simply need to log into your existing account and begin completing the required forms.
o Some who have previously created accounts may need to reset their password if they have forgotten or lost it.
o Elementary parents and parents who have never created an account will need to create an account or associate their existing account with their child prior to completing the registration form.
o Once you have an account, you simply need to log in, click on the forms tab, and review and complete the forms in your account. In just a few minutes you will be done for the year! Super Simple!!
4. Our Administrative and Office staff are back in the buildings now and ready to assist you with any questions or needs and our teachers will be back soon! School starts for our students on Wednesday, August 27th!!! Be on the lookout for school specific communication and updates. We are so excited to see all of you soon!!
Have a great last two weeks of summer! And see you soon!!
